*Synopsis- One day Espen realized
she had possessed the body of an extra who didn’t even have a name inside the novel [Emperor, Don’t Be Obsessed With Me!]. As a long-time reader of
romance fantasy, Espen then decides that she is going to become the main
character of the extras!
Espen decides to find a man.
Just in time, an incident from the
original novel that she called ‘Prince Luciano’s Friend’ came up, and
Espen decided to approach Prince Luciano, the male protagonist of the original
story. As originally written, Queen Isabel rudely teases Prince Luciano at the
tea party, so Espen confronts the Queen and publicly declares that she will be
friends with Prince Luciano.
Confident that she had imprinted
herself on Prince Luciano’s mind, Espen approaches him naturally, however Prince
Luciano rejects her. She was shocked by his determination, but as the male lead
was originally difficult in the novel, she tries to get close to him.
However, Prince Luciano’s walls remained high even after a year had passed.
Eventually, Espen becomes the cause of a terrible problem called the ‘Muffin Incident’. She couldn’t be seen in
this state, so she decided that Prince Luciano was not her man and gave up on
him.
Then, Prince Luciano’s attitude changed. First, he invited Espen to be his
friend. Espen had given up on becoming his lover but decided to become his
friend. After nine years of enjoying their childhood together, the two grew up
to be best friends.
The day before Espen’s 17th birthday, Prince Luciano suggests
that she make a new friend. Angry, Espen promises him that she will. On her
birthday, she would bring a new friend and rub it in Prince Luciano’s face.
However, no one responded to Espen’s invitation, and so she became a serial
invitation-ist and invited the first person she saw. The identity of the wizard
she had invited turned out to be the villain of the original novel, dark wizard
Damien.
Prince Luciano’s attitude of nagging her to make another friend
disappeared as soon as he saw Damien. Luciano is wary of Damien and shows off
as if he’s more than just a friend, while Damien has a weird
attitude from the beginning. Espen’s birthday
ends in a delicate atmosphere.
After a complex and delicate time,
Espen visits Prince Luciano in his palace as usual. There, Espen feels a
strange presence and the cold air of Prince Luciano. Seeing Luciano’s calm attitude and the guest’s guilty look, Espen is able to guess their identity.
The secondary lead of the original work, Harrison.
At first, the atmosphere between
Prince Luciano is not good. Espen listens to the circumstances, gives them
proper advice, and helps smooth their relationship so that Harrison can become
Prince Luciano’s escort knight.
Like this, Espen becomes friends
with the male lead Prince Luciano, the villain Damien, and the secondary male
lead Harrison.
Over time, Espen naturally builds
an emotional narrative by comforting the wounds of each of the male characters.
However, although everyone showed their feelings no one confessed. Espen is
unsure because their attitudes are so vague, so she decides to ask them
outright.
“Lucy, do you like me?”
“Are you delusional?”
“Harrison, do you like me?”
“Don’t say things like that.”
“Damien, do you like me?”
“Do you want me to like you?”
The answers she received shocked
her. With them, Espen realizes that she is an extra, not the main character,
and turns away without hesitation. As Espen falls into despair, the three men
who weren’t honest with her belatedly realize their mistake.
The three men then try to win Espen’s heart in their own ways, and after a series of
courtships, Espen makes her decision.
