Synospsis |
Jang Kiroo, the protagonist who used to be a tennis
player but gave up exercising and became an ordinary office worker. He lost his past passion and desire to win long ago,
but he loves his wife and child. He’s happy. Nevertheless, while living his empty life
he happened to see a baseball game. After witnessing an underdog victory for
the first time in his life, Kiroo spoke in a daze. “I’m going to play baseball.” Kiroo becomes curious about the community baseball
team, and eventually joins the 8-member adult team “Baekdo”, which has never won a game
before. Kiroo played his first game without even practicing
properly, playing a big role and discovering something unexpected. He wants to do it. He wants to try. He’s already in his mid-30’s but has tremendous talent
and potential. Should he do it? Can he do it? While struggling with doubts,
his confidence, and his responsibilities as head of the household, he faces
the strongest team in community baseball and encounters real baseball for the
first time in earnest. Immersed in the charm of baseball, Kiroo receives
public attention through a TV program that tells stories about the general
public. As a result, he gets the opportunity to take the test to become a
professional baseball team’s new trainee. In order to grasp this golden opportunity, Kiroo
leaves to attend training in Venezuela, a baseball powerhouse. After
achieving good results there, he returns and proudly passes the trainee
selection test. Now he’s a pro! Kiroo has achieved his goal and taken his
first step as a pro baseball player. And
then, a major league scout comes to him with a contract… |
